You enter from a cove on the ground level, and the hostess buzzes you upstairs in a private elevator. You walk down a long hallway with sweeping views of Capitol Hill feeling like you're in some kind of James Bond movie. Then the hallway opens up to a beautiful sky top restaurant that feels like it's floating above Seattle. It was quite dark, but it made for a cozy dinner date. The cocktails were small and pricy, but I guess we were paying for the view. The Baba Ganoush was the best I've ever had with pickled torshi on top and a prominent celery seed flavor; a spice that I think is under utilized. We also had the Fattoush Salad and loved all the fresh apples and kolrabi. The sumac pomegranate dressing took this to the next level. Acidic and punchy! I loved it. We did not eat the Halibut Cheeks. The were over fried and the texture was chewy and the buerre blanc was sweet, not acidic, and the sumac in it turned the emulsion pink. The dish just didn't work. The server noticed we didn't eat it and asked it we liked it. We said "ish". We don't want to be rude. He said no worries. Then came back and asked for feedback on the dish which we thought was so polite and professional. We shared our thoughts and he said thank you. When he brought the check the halibut was removed. We thought that was an extremely thoughtful. We enjoyed our meal and the service. On a sunny day in Seattle, we'll be back.

The ambiance is lovely, and the view is absolutely spectacular--perfect for a date night or hanging out with coworkers after work, thanks to its convenient location. Definitely make sure to catch the sunset and enjoy the iconic Space Needle view while you're there. The cocktails are fantastic, though a bit on the pricey side. As for the food, it's just okay and also quite expensive, so you're really paying more for the vibe than the meal. Service was solid. They did a great job accommodating our large group of ten, which was much appreciated. Overall, it's a great spot for drinks and atmosphere, especially if you're there for the sunset.

I came here on a 4:30 reservation and we were able to be seated early which was great! There was a good amount of people enjoying happy hour, and I loved the atmosphere of the rooftop. There were such pretty views of lake union and you can also see the space needle! We came here to enjoy the happy hour, but I was shocked to see that there were only four drinks and no food options. I got the espresso martini which was the perfect balance of strong but sweet!! I also tried the sampler platter, which contained shamandar, baba ganoush, hummus, and muhammara. The presentation was so pretty and you can ask for pita refills! I would definitely get this again because it's fun and great to share with friends. We also got the falafel balls which were just okay to me. I will say dining here was a bit pricey for what we got -- two appetizers and two drinks for $80. I would come here again for the vibe but not for the happy hour!

I came here for happy hour with a friend. We were able to make a last minute reservation which was nice. We were seated outside and the views were so pretty. You could see over Lake Union and the Seattle skyline. I highly recommend visiting here for the views. The happy hour menu was only 4 drinks and no food, which was a little disappointing. I was hoping they would have more options for happy hour. We ended up getting espresso martinis and ordering the sampling platter and falafels. The sampling platter was so pretty and tasted really good. I liked being able to try all the things with pita. The falafel was also good. I really enjoyed the sauce it came with. The wind started gusting super hard which blew over glasses. Luckily the staff was able to reseat us inside their dining room, which still had a really good view. They were very professional about it.

Kind friendly accommodating service. We arrived without having a reservation and they still seated us with the exception that we honor the time frame and be prepared to move when the reservation arrived. We were seated in the gorgeous patio overlooking Lake Union and service was prompt. The staff was engaging without being overbearing and truly added to an enjoyable experience. We only went for drinks and dessert - they had a delicious seasonal mocktail, in addition to a full bar. Definitely plan on going back again with a reservation.

Mbar has an upscale vibe with beautiful views of Seattle. We got to sit right next to the windows and had the chance to take in the spectacular skylines of the city, including the Space Needle. Our waiter was so nice and always checked in to make sure we were content with our meal; he even offered us more pita bread for our baba ganoush. My favorite dish was the chicken basket with fries. The chicken nuggets were fried well and the fries were crispy, just the way I like it. I was disappointed by my drink because it tasted weird (I got the one with pistachio, lemon, and honey), and the balance of flavor and alcohol was off.

This is the second time visiting this place. The first time was absolutely amazing. This time my visit was in summer and they had rooftop seating available. I loved the food. I had a light meal so can't give full blown food reviews. But the mushroom starter was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend it. As for the ambience, Mbar has an amazing ambience for a restaurant in Seattle. But interior setting and outdoors are amazing spots to dine at.
